Indian Filter Coffee

Indian Filter Coffee

In this post I am going to show you to make a perfect South Indian Filter coffee.
Im a great fan of  filter coffee and learn't this recipe from my mom.
You can find the stepwise procedure of making Coffee and I have attached the pictures for your reference.
And I am sorry for the poor picture quality :(

The combination for perfect coffee powder is 60% coffee and 40% chicory.
You can grind you own coffee powder from coffee beans. But I am using the branded filter coffee powder.
My brand is the famous 'Leo Filter coffee powder'

Now let's go for the coffee preparation....

1. Heat the filter to so that any blocks in the holes get cleared. It makes the decoction to penetrate the holes   easier....

2. Add the coffee powder as desired. I added 2 spoonful of powder to make coffee for two people...

  3. Add hot boiling water to the coffee powder and close the top lid. Wait for sometime so that the decoction gets seperated...

4. After 10 minutes collect the clear decoction. You can see it in the picture below...

5. Now add Sugar and Milk to the decoction. Use more decoction if you want your coffee to be stronger.
Always use concentrated milk as it increases the flavour of your coffee...

6.Now Serve the coffee hot.... :)
